Step into a whimsical forest setting, where fairy lights twinkle above and lush greenery surrounds you. As you enter, you'll be greeted by the enchanting melodies of our amazing DJ. Indulge in a delectable array of culinary delights that will tantalize your taste buds.

Dress to impress in your finest attire, and don't forget to add a touch of magic to your ensemble. Whether you choose to channel your inner fairy, royalty, dwarf, or simply embrace the elegance of the occasion, let your imagination run wild. We'll make sure you can capture some of your memories to take home at our photo and video booths.

This night is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, make new friends, and create lasting memories. So, mark your calendars and get ready to experience the magic with your fellow medical students at the Enchanted Forest Gala!

Event details

- $55 for Wayne Students

- $65 for non-WSUSOM guests!

Included with your ticket: entry, gourmet meal, 4 hours of fun

Alcohol will not be included, but there will be a cash bar all night!

The menu will have halal, vegan, and gluten free options!

Dress code: Black Tie Optional

The Huntington Place

The Huntington Place (formally Cobo Hall) is a convention hall on the Detroit Riverfront that was built in 1960 and perfectly constructed for some medical student fun!

FAQ:

What is included in my ticket price? - Ticket to the event includes food, including hor d’oeuvres and dinner, non-alcoholic beverages, and a night socializing, dancing, and playing games with the rest of your class and student body! There will be a DJ for music and a photographer to document the night!

When will dinner be served and how? - Dinner will be buffet style and will be served between 7:30 and 9pm. Don’t be too late or you won’t be able to eat! Tables will be open to sit at when you’ve gotten your food. There will not be reserved seating.

What about parking? - There is a parking garage available at the Huntington Place for $20. There are also several free streets to park on near Midtown and Brush Park that should make for 1 mile walks, or cheap Uber rides. PLEASE BE SAFE AND DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

Will there be alcohol? - Yes, but not included in your ticket. There will be cash bars open all night with drinks costing between $5-$12.

What is black tie optional? - Dress up in the way that feels best to you! The event is formal - some options include cocktail dress, floor length gowns, cultural formal attire, jumpsuit, blazer, suit, tuxedo or any creative combination that suits you. Consider adding a magical/fairytale twist to fit the theme as well.

What if I don’t have a Venmo? How do I pay? - Contact Pooja Polamarasetti (ppooja@wayne.edu) to set up another form of payment, such as PayPal or CashApp.

Can I transfer my ticket to another student if I’m suddenly unable to attend? - Please contact Pooja Polamarasetti (ppooja@wayne.edu) if you are in this situation and to request a transfer.
