PRESIDENT · Petar Martinovski
petarm@wayne.edu
It’s a pleasure to meet you and I greet you warmly by the virtual hand. I went to the University of Michigan for my undergraduate studies and then spent two gap years working in elementary education before coming to medical school. I am passionate about pursuing a career in academic medicine and leadership, all the while giving back to my local community. I am currently serving in my second term as President of the Wayne State University School of Medicine Student Senate where I seek to advocate for my fellow students. I have also served in other official capacities with roles on the WSUSOM Alumni Board of Governors, WSUSOM Professionalism Committee, WSUSOM Admissions Committee, as President of the Board of Student Organizations and on other committees as well.
VICE President · Ihunanya Destiny Agomuoh
hq0690@wayne.edu
Ihunanya Destiny Agomuoh was born in Detroit and was raised in Southfield, MI. She graduated from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. Now, she is at Wayne learning medicine with the class of 2027. Ihunanya Destiny is an aesthete. Meaning she is an advocate for art and beauty in all its forms. From medicine to fashion, perhaps even a delicious meal, Ihunanya Destiny seeks to create beauty in her own life as well as the lives around her. You should ask her about it!
SECRETARY · Stephanie Schervish
sschervish@wayne.edu
Stephanie was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, MI—just a short drive from campus. She attended Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) where she majored in neuroscience. She couldn’t stay away from Michigan for long though as she returned home to Michigan to begin her medical journey at WSUSOM. Now a fourth-year medical student, Stephanie plans to pursue a residency in pediatrics. If completing a residency wasnt enough, she plans to go back for more training to pursure a fellowship in neonatology.
Outside of medicine, Stephanie loves exploring Detroit’s food scene, staying up to date on the latest fashion trends, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Stephanie is excited to serve as Executive Secretary and looks forward to helping WSUSOM reach its fullest potential!
treasurer · Aniela Crayton
hw0027@wayne.edu
Aniela is from Huntington Woods, MI, she attended the University of Michigan for undergrad, majoring in cell, molecular, and development biology, as well as history, and before starting med school worked in consulting. She holds the role of executive treasurer, so if you have any questions about how Student Senate can support your personal or a student org’s initiatives/goals financially, please feel free to reach out! When she’s not studying, Aniela loves to run, ski, drink as much coffee as possible, listen to audio books (either Harry Potter for the thousandth time or a good history book) and hang out with friends!
BSO PRESIDENT · Dominic Sacca
dsacca@med.wayne.edu
Hey, there! Save yourself the oxygen and call me Dom. I'm your guy if you have any questions about student organizations. I'm from Novi, Michigan and went to Michigan State for undergrad. My degree is in Economics but I somehow found my way to medicine-- ask me about the journey! I love eyeballs, loud music, and lists of three things. If you want the best shot at finding me on campus, go wherever you hear the most noise. I am easily excited by discussions or disputes and am very bad at using my inside voice. I'm working on it, I promise.
I am a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant by trade and have loved not being able to utilize that skillset in the medical school curriculum. I keep my skills sharp by volunteering with a student-run eye clinic, Sight Savers, and dropping in (unannounced) on my old co-workers at the Kresge Eye Institute.
Exec House Rep · Brianna Regan
reganbri@wayne.edu
Born and raised in Livonia, Michigan, Bri is the middle child between two sisters — a role that’s made her an expert in diplomacy, negotiation, and the occasional referee duty. She’s a proud University of Michigan alum, having earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering. She continued her tour around Southeastern Michigan with Wayne State for medical school and will be finishing next year with the class of 2026.
Before med school, Bri spent years flipping, jumping, and dancing her way through life as a competitive dancer and cheerleader. She carried that energy to U of M’s All-Girl Stunt Team and now channels it into an active lifestyle that includes running, skiing, volleyball, tennis, and teaching barre fitness classes. When she’s not on the move, you’ll find Bri in the kitchen baking up sweet treats, likely testing the structural integrity of a cake or perfecting a new frosting technique.
As your Executive House Representative, Bri is your go-to person for all things community events and peer mentorship at Wayne State School of Medicine. Got a question, an idea, or just need a good dessert recommendation? She’s your person.
MD/PHD REPRESENTATIVE · Amanda Paskavitz
amanda.paskavitz@med.wayne.edu
Born in Colorado, Amanda is really from Massachusetts in her heart and soul. No, but actually, she did live in Massachusetts for most of her life and won’t stop talking about it, lest you forget. From a young age, Amanda always loved school (and data). In fact, after graduating from college, she missed school so much she decided she needed to acquire as many doctorates as possible. Thus, she settled on the MD/PhD to occupy at least 7+ years of her life, though she is already worrying about which additional degrees she should get after that.
In her spare time you can find Amanda getting swole at the gym, being a devoted and loving (cat) mom of two, growing vegetable crops in her backyard, and complaining about how far Michigan is from the ocean (and before you say anything, no, the Great Lakes don’t cut it). Despite all the talk about the East Coast, she really does love Detroit and its people, and enjoys exploring its hidden gems with friends.
Exec Webmaster · Celina Wu
celinaw@wayne.edu
Celina was born and raised in Maryland before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, for undergrad. A proud and passionate Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket, Celina earned her bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering in December 2023 while working as an Emergency Medical Technician in the city. Her job in EMS led her to a love of sports as she worked for the Atlanta Hawks, Falcons, and United FC through the 2022-2024 seasons. Now, after moving to Detroit, Celina’s sports team loyalties are questionable as she frequently bounces between rooting for Baltimore, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Detroit sports teams. Post-grad, she was an avid traveler and pet foster. Celina is passionate about food security and has been a long-time volunteer with various mutual aid organizations that support local businesses and feed the community.
Celina’s simple pleasures include Saturday & Sunday football (Go Jackets! THWg!), zero-sugar sodas (yummm chemicals), and the Transformers movie series (her dream car is a yellow Camaro with black racing stripes). Her daily routine includes barre pilates, looking at Instagram memes, and probably a nap. In her free time, you can find her playing beach volleyball with friends and going country line dancing.

Issac was born and raised right here in the city of Detroit, MI.
